Minku Apparel manufactures custom polyester tracksuits for streetwear brands from 50 sets per design – soft, everyday matched jacket-and-pant two-pieces in tricot and brushed poly, built to one spec and one dye lot. We are a Pakistan-based private-label factory shipping DDP door-to-door across the USA, UK and Europe, and every polyester set is sampled and approved before we cut bulk, so the hand, drape and colour you spec are what you receive.
This page covers what defines a polyester tracksuit, its look and feel and when to choose it, matched construction across the set, in-house decoration and private label, MOQ and pricing, and sampling with DDP shipping. Polyester is the versatile, everyday member of the tracksuit family – softer than a nylon shell, more durable and colour-stable than most alternatives.
What defines a polyester tracksuit
A polyester tracksuit is built on a knitted polyester – most often a smooth tricot or a soft brushed poly – rather than the woven shell of a nylon suit. That gives it a comfortable, slightly stretchy hand, a matte-to-soft face, and a drape that sits closer to a knit two-piece than a crisp shell. Polyester is durable, holds colour exceptionally well, resists creasing and wicks moisture, which is why it is the workhorse fabric of modern sport-inspired tracksuits.
We run several polyester constructions – warp-knit tricot for a smooth technical face, and brushed or micro-fleece-backed poly for a warmer, softer everyday set. The exact knit, weight and finish go on the tech pack, so the set you build has the hand you intend rather than a generic sports blank.
The look and feel, and when to choose it
Choose polyester when you want a soft, wearable, everyday tracksuit that still reads sport – the kind of set worn all day rather than reserved for a statement. It has less sheen and rustle than nylon and a more comfortable next-to-skin feel, which makes it the most versatile base for a broad, commercial tracksuit line. It also takes vivid, colour-fast dyeing, so bright and tonal colourways both hold up.
If you want the glossy, technical shell-suit statement instead, look at the nylon tracksuit; if you want plush retro luxe, see the velour tracksuit. Polyester sits comfortably between them as the everyday, all-rounder choice.
Construction and the matched set
A tracksuit is won or lost in construction. On a polyester set we specify the zip, the collar, the panel layout, any piping or contrast trim, the cuff and hem finish and the pocket build on the tech pack, then produce to it. The jacket and pant are cut from one lot so the colour and texture match exactly, and the pant is graded to sit correctly with the jacket across the full size run.
Knitted polyester has a little stretch, so seam allowance and cuff construction are set to keep the fit clean and stable wash after wash. We prove the whole two-piece on a pre-production sample – colour match, zip action, drape and fit checked together – before we cut bulk, which removes the most common set failures.
Decoration and private label
Every finish runs in-house. Polyester takes heat transfer and sublimation especially well – sublimation is unique to poly and enables all-over and photographic prints that dye into the fabric – alongside embroidery, screen print on flat panels, and woven or rubberised patches. We keep decoration coordinated across the jacket and pant so the two pieces read as one design.
Full private-label finishing is standard across both pieces: custom woven and printed labels, size and care tags, custom zip pullers where volume allows, hang tags and packaging. The pre-production set you approve already carries your branding. Compare the fabrics side by side in our fabric library before you lock the spec.
MOQ and pricing
Minimum order is around 50 sets per design and colourway. Polyester is often the most cost-effective tracksuit base because it is durable and efficient to work, but a set is still two constructed garments with hardware, so it sits in the mid-to-upper price range and the per-set cost falls as you scale into reorders. Pricing tracks the knit and weight, the hardware and the decoration across both pieces.
We compete on how the set is made and how faithfully the jacket and pant match, not on thinning the fabric. Send your spec for a costed quote broken down by fabric, construction and decoration.
Sampling and DDP shipping
Production follows a low-risk path. You send artwork, references and measurements for both pieces; we develop the tech pack, source and match the polyester knit, and stitch a full pre-production set with hardware and decoration applied. You approve the match, fit, zip action and finish on the physical set, and only then do we cut and sew bulk.
Finished sets ship DDP door-to-door, with export, freight and import duties handled so your boxes clear customs without extra bills. Explore the full custom tracksuit program, compare the retro tracksuit build, and when you are ready, get your custom quote.
