Custom Velour Tracksuit Manufacturer | Minku Apparel

Custom velour tracksuit manufacturer - plush matched jacket-and-pant sets from 50 sets per design, soft pile, full private label and worldwide DDP.

Minku Apparel manufactures custom velour tracksuits for streetwear brands from 50 sets per design – plush, matched jacket-and-pant two-pieces built on soft-pile velour to one spec and one dye lot. We are a Pakistan-based private-label factory shipping DDP door-to-door across the USA, UK and Europe, and every velour set is sampled and approved before we cut bulk, so the pile, the drape and the colour you spec are what you receive.

This page covers what defines a velour tracksuit, its look and feel and when to choose it, matched construction across the set, in-house decoration and private label, MOQ and pricing, and sampling with DDP shipping. Velour is the plush, luxe end of the tracksuit range – the fabric behind the Y2K velour set and its enduring revival.

What defines a velour tracksuit

A velour tracksuit is built on velour – a knitted fabric with a dense, short pile that gives it a soft, plush surface and a subtle sheen. It sits between the crisp technical face of a nylon shell and the matte comfort of a plain fleece: velour has drape and softness but also a rich, slightly reflective look that reads distinctly premium. Cotton-rich velour feels warm and natural, while poly-blend velour adds durability and colour stability.

The pile direction and density are part of the look, so we specify the velour weight, blend and finish on the tech pack. Because pile fabric shades differently depending on how the nap lies, cutting and matching a velour set correctly is a genuine skill – and it is exactly where a set can go wrong if the factory is careless.

The look and feel, and when to choose it

Choose velour when you want plush, tactile luxe – a set that feels expensive in the hand and photographs with a soft, rich surface. The velour tracksuit carries strong Y2K and loungewear-luxury associations and has stayed in rotation as a premium, comfort-first statement piece. It suits brands positioned on softness and indulgence rather than technical sport, and it holds tonal and jewel colourways beautifully.

It is the opposite pole from the glossy nylon shell suit: velour is soft and warm where nylon is crisp and technical. For a softer everyday sport hand without the pile, the polyester tracksuit is the alternative. Many brands run velour as the premium hero alongside one of the others.

Construction and the matched set

A tracksuit is won or lost in construction, and velour adds one more demand: pile-direction matching. We specify the zip, the collar, the panel layout, any contrast trim, the cuff and hem ribbing and the pocket build on the tech pack, then cut the jacket and pant from one lot with the nap running the same way on both pieces so the colour reads identical. The pant is graded to sit correctly with the jacket across the whole size run.

Because velour shades with the light and the pile, we hold a shared reference and prove the full two-piece on a pre-production sample – you check the colour and pile match, the zip action and the fit together before we cut bulk. That single step removes the most common velour-set failure, a top and bottom that catch the light differently.

Decoration and private label

Every finish runs in-house, and velour suits a specific decoration set: embroidery reads beautifully on the pile, tonal and metallic thread plays off the sheen, and rhinestone or heat-transfer detailing carries the Y2K reference. Screen printing directly on deep pile is limited, so we guide brands toward embroidery, patches and appliqué that work with the surface rather than fighting it, coordinated across jacket and pant.

Full private-label finishing is standard across both pieces: custom woven and printed labels, size and care tags, custom zip pullers where volume allows, hang tags and packaging. The pre-production set you approve already carries your branding. Compare velour against the other options in our fabric library before locking the spec.

MOQ and pricing

Minimum order is around 50 sets per design and colourway. Velour is a premium fabric and a velour set is two plush constructed garments, so it sits toward the higher end of the range in absolute price, but it retails as a luxe premium set with strong margin and the per-set cost falls as you scale into reorders. Pricing tracks the velour weight and blend, the construction, the hardware and the decoration.

We compete on the quality of the pile match and the make, because a velour set where the two pieces read as different shades is a failed product. Send your spec for a costed quote broken down by fabric, construction and decoration.

Sampling and DDP shipping

Production follows a low-risk path. You send artwork, references and measurements for both pieces; we develop the tech pack, source and match the velour, and stitch a full pre-production set with hardware and decoration applied. You approve the pile and colour match, the fit, the zip action and the finish on the physical set, and only then do we cut and sew bulk.

Finished sets ship DDP door-to-door, with export, freight and import duties handled so your boxes clear customs without extra bills. Explore the full custom tracksuit program, compare the archive-cut retro tracksuit, and when you are ready, get your custom quote.

Velour is a knitted pile fabric with a soft, plush face and subtle sheen. It reads premium and carries strong Y2K loungewear-luxury associations, ideal for a comfort-first statement set.

Both pieces are cut from one lot with the pile running the same direction, held to a shared reference and confirmed on the pre-production sample, so the nap and colour match across jacket and pant.

Embroidery, tonal and metallic thread, patches, appliqué and rhinestone or heat-transfer detailing all work with the pile. Direct screen printing on deep pile is limited, so we guide you to the best method.

Around 50 sets per design and colourway. Velour is a premium fabric, so the set sits higher in absolute price, but the per-set cost improves as you scale.
